My little running gal up top in the ticker is finally at 449!!!..... and I thought she'd never get there!!
The training runs are done and wow that's a great feeling! Got the very last 2 miles in this morning.. ! Oh yeah!!

way to go Kari! That's quite an accomplishment, we'll be rooting for you this weekend, hope you get to stay somewhat dry!
Good luck this weekend. Tell everyone else good luck too. Dont worry about the rain eh? It will keep you nice and cool. Bring an extra garbage bag to wear over you to keep you dry until you start running. Then shed it and throw it away.

Got 5 garbage bags packed.. 1 for all of us.. I won't really mind the rain.. you're right Chuck, it will keep us cool! Better than humidity, eh??

Wow, what can we say after running through the eye of Hurricane Ike? I am so sorry that your hard training wasn't evident today when the course was cut short at 10 miles, just when the weather actually got better. You are amazing and you can definitely do a full marathon whenever you are able to enter another one.
We certainly gave it our best shot didn't we Kathy!!!?? Ice, snow, wind, rain, humidity, now we can add 'hurricane' to our list! Nothing can stop us, that's for sure!! OK, well we HAD to stop today, but at least we attempted it!!
